:airport, deciding how long until I had to go. So I left work early due to Hurricane Charlie and was cruising eastbound on the Beeline. I'm doing about 70 and slowing down as I hit the downpour areas, some guy in a newer montecarlo goes cruising past me in the right lane at about 75+. He gets about 100 yds ahead and just enters a wall of rain when I see his breaklights come on, then I see the left side of his car and I'm thinking, "what's this idiot doing?, turning around?" Then I see him come back up on the road and dive down into the median again.
:So I slow down as I get near him and find out he hydroplaned from excessive speed in the rain and bounced off the guard rail and then ended up in the median. So I called *FHP and told them where he was and went on my way. I was right on the outer fringe of the storm and had to get home.
:Some of you may have seen the pics I put up on Friday before they got yanked by admin as the storm approached. I returned to work today and right where I normally park my Z next to the hanger there was a huge piece of sheetmetal from the hanger roof. That would of sucked. The Z made it through the storm fine and I was really lucky my home was spared too. My neighbors house had a tornado take her roof completely off. I still don't have power but hopefully by tomorrow they'll get the lines back up.
